Co-founders Ted and William met nearly 20 years ago when Ted was an executive with the Minnesota Timberwolves and William was working on business ventures of some Timberwolves players. Fast forward to 2020 when the two of them met LaunchPad Golf founder, Barry Ehlert.
Barry was a successful golf course owner and entrepreneur that was investigating an investment in a professional sports team. William and Ted met him during that process and quickly appreciated Barry's enthusiasm and approach to business. Barry ultimately decided not to buy a sports team but rather, used his time, energy and creativity to create the concept that became LaunchPad Golf.
Par3 Ventures was created as a joint venture to pursue locations for LaunchPad Golf across the United States. We look forward to finding additional locations near your neighborhood!

Ted Johnson has spent three decades helping high-profile businesses and organizations succeed. He has worked with organizations as diverse as major league sports, public health organizations, non-profits, start-ups and some of the world's most respected corporate brands.
Prior to founding Norden Strategies and Par3, Johnson spent seventeen years with the Minnesota Timberwolves & Lynx organization serving in a number of roles including nine years as Chief Marketing officer and five years as Chief Strategy Officer. Johnson also served as a Governor in the G-League and led the organization's effort to establish, and then run, the two newest franchises; The Iowa Wolves (G-League) and T-Wolves Gaming (NBA2K League.) For nearly all seventeen of his years with the team, he was responsible for leading most of the organization’s highest-profile initiatives. Notable efforts include spearheading the development of an award-winning training center at Mayo Clinic Square and overseeing the $150 million dollar Target Center renovation. Before joining the Timberwolves, Johnson spent more than a decade managing dynamic, multifaceted campaigns for clients, policy issues and political candidates. Johnson is very active in the Twin Cities community serving on a dozen non-profit boards and active with even more. He currently serves on the Board of the Minnesota State Fair Foundation, Northern Star Scouting and Serving Our troops. |
William Lomax is an Enterprise Strategic Sourcing Consultant with Voya Financial, Inc., responsible for the growth strategy and performance within the company’s strategic Supplier partner portfolio.
William is also the Co-Founder and Managing Partner of East West Holdings, LLC a privately held real estate development company focused on sustainable prefab luxury single family homes. East West Holdings, LLC is the exclusive developer of Turkel Design Axiom series homes in Minnesota. William also serves as SVP of Communications for Gemini Capital Management a real estate development trust. Responsible for delivering organizational development, driving change management and improvements in communications, leadership development, corporate governance, risk management and procedural compliance. He currently Chairs Voya Financials local Orange Goes Green chapter task with reducing Voya’s environmental footprint and donates his time and resources to the following nonprofits and charities; Project Healthy Smile, Meals on Wheels, Big Brothers Big Sister of America, The Sanneh Foundation, NFL Play 60, Jason Zucker #Give16, and Habitat For Humanity. William holds an A.A.S from Dunwoody College of Technology and a B.A. from University of Minnesota. A native of Monrovia, Liberia he calls Minneapolis, Minnesota home. |
